Congratulations to our 2026 Spirit of Adventure winners

We’re excited to announce the four young Kiwis selected as winners of Generate’s 2026 Spirit of Adventure giveaway: Israel from the Bay of Plenty, Luka from the Far North, Taurere from Napier, and Mattias from the Waikato.

Over 900 nominations from across New Zealand

We had over 900 nominations from all around New Zealand, so a big thank you goes to our members for taking the time to nominate some exceptional young Kiwis.

What the Spirit of Adventure voyage offers

Each winner will receive a place on a Spirit of Adventure Trust 10-Day Development Voyage. The voyages are a powerful way for young Kiwis to challenge themselves, connect with others and come away with experiences that can have a lasting impact.

Supporting confidence, leadership and future potential

Generate partners with the Spirit of Adventure Trust because we believe in supporting Kiwis to build confidence, develop important life skills and take steps toward a brighter future. The Trust’s focus on personal development, resilience, independence and leadership reflects the kind of long-term impact we’re proud to support.

Scholarship opportunities for aspiring participants

If your nominee missed out this time, the Spirit of Adventure Trust also offers scholarship opportunities to help young people get on board. Funding rounds open throughout the year and are designed to support those who may need a helping hand to take part in a voyage.
