Generate, one of New Zealand’s leading KiwiSaver and wealth providers, is celebrating a major milestone this week welcoming its 200,000th KiwiSaver member – a moment the Kiwi-owned provider says reflects the growing number of New Zealanders seeking guidance to make informed decisions about their retirement savings.
The milestone comes as Generate also surpasses $10 billion in funds under management, underscoring the trust that thousands of New Zealanders have placed in the company to help them grow their long-term wealth.

Unlike many providers, advice has always been central to Generate's approach. Around 90% of Generate members have joined after meeting with an adviser or receiving expert KiwiSaver advice (1), giving them the opportunity to better understand their options before making one of the most important financial decisions they'll make.
Generate Chief Executive Henry Tongue says reaching 200,000 members is about much more than a number.

Strong performance & the power of advice
Generate KiwiSaver funds have delivered a consistent long-term investment performance track record over the past 10 years.
Most recently, the Generate Focused Growth Fund ranked 1st out of 10 funds for 10-year returns in the Morningstar New Zealand Multi-Sector Aggressive category for the quarter ending 30 June 2026 (2).
Generate also has a significant amount of its members in growth and aggressive funds - 82% versus the market average of 47% (3) - which it believes is due to the power of advice.
Growth funds generally offer greater potential for higher returns over the long term (4) .
