If you move permanently to Australia, you cannot withdraw your KiwiSaver in cash. Instead, you can transfer it to an Australian Superannuation fund under the Trans-Tasman Retirement Savings Portability rules. Alternatively, you can leave it in KiwiSaver, but you won’t receive further NZ employer or Government contributions.
