How can I change KiwiSaver providers?
You can switch KiwiSaver providers at any time. There’s no need to contact your current provider - your new provider will handle the transfer for you.
How it works
1. Sign up with your new KiwiSaver provider.
2. Your new provider will:
a. Contact your current provider to transfer your funds, and
b. Notify Inland Revenue (IRD) so future contributions go to your new account.
3. Once your new account is open, your balance is usually transferred within 10 business days.
